Wooden window restoration
We restore wooden windows so they stay warm, quiet and beautiful for many years to come.
What restoration includes
Inspection and plan
We assess the wood, any rot, the hardware and the glass, then offer a solution and a price.
Removing old paint
We remove old layers of paint, clean and dry the wood.
Wood repair
We replace damaged sections with matching wood inserts and strengthen the joints.
New seals
We replace the old rubber seals with new foam polyurethane seals that keep the heat in and the noise out.
Painting
We prime and paint with breathable paints made for wooden windows.
Hardware
We clean, repair and refit the original hardware, or fit suitable new hardware.
Windows in listed and historic buildings
If a building is a national or local cultural monument, or stands in a protected area, replacing the windows often needs approval and must meet requirements for how they look. Restoration keeps the original appearance and improves the windows' insulation.
Prices
The price of restoration depends on the window size, the glazing layout and the condition of the wood, so we give it after inspection. For a faster estimate, send photos of the windows on WhatsApp.
